AIMS Worldwide Teams With ePlus Auctions
to Bring New Services to the Newspaper Industry

FAIRFAX, VA—December 22, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) AIMS Worldwide, Inc. (OTCBB: AMWW) announced that it is collaborating with ePlus Auctions, LLC on a new platform that integrates local online auctions with the classified advertising systems in daily and weekly newspapers.

ePlus Auctions will customize the auction and e-commerce software and AIMS Worldwide will provide marketing materials and expertise to client newspapers.

ePlus Auctions co-founder James D. Cannon says the market for most resale items is inherently local, despite the growth of national online auction services. “Many items sold in the classified sections of newspapers are not appropriate for a national marketplace because of delivery obstacles,” he notes. “Local auctions eliminate shipping hassles, provide an additional buyer base to classified advertisers, and a new income stream to the newspaper.”

The initial auction site—sponsored by the Times Community Newspapers and the Gazette Newspapers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area—will launch January 1, 2004. To populate a new site with a variety of goods at the time it goes live, local charities and nonprofits are invited to use it for fundraising. According to Cannon, “this insures that visitors to the new auction site will find plenty of merchandise, and purchases benefit local organizations.”

“The online auction component reenergizes a newspaper’s classified product and adds a new dimension to the process of engaging buyers and sellers,” says AIMS president and CEO Gerald Garcia, Jr. Garcia, a former newspaper executive, predicts classified advertising must inevitably include an auction option if newspapers expect growth and increased profits in this vital business segment.

AIMS Worldwide is a publicly-held company and an emerging leader in designing, developing and managing one-to-one marketing solutions at the lowest possible cost to large and mid-sized businesses. AIMS is accelerating its growth by targeting and acquiring a group of media and marketing communications companies. The company recently acquired all of the outstanding stock of ATB Media, Inc., completed a technology license agreement with Advocast, Inc. of Washington, D.C. and entered into an agreement to acquire a majority of Prime Time Cable, Inc.’s cable television and broadband service business in Central Florida.
